Our holiday apartment is in a quiet residential area in Dierikon, in the Rontal valley between Lucerne and Zug. The location is ideal for anyone who wants to work with focus during the day and explore the area with the family afterwards. The city centre of Lucerne is just 20 minutes away by bus or S-Bahn, and Root station even less. If you need to go to the office for a day or have a meeting in Zurich, Buchrain station is quickly reached and the connections across Switzerland are excellent.

The Wi-Fi in the apartment is fast and stable, and the dining table offers plenty of space to work. The garden right outside the door doubles as a playground for the children, so you can keep an eye on everything, even during a video call.

Work in the morning, explore in the afternoon

The beauty of a workation is that every day has two halves. One belongs to work, the other to the family. Here are a few ideas for how to spend the afternoon: take a walk around Rotsee, travel by boat to Weggis or Brunnen, enjoy the views from Pilatus, or simply play with the children in the garden and let the day wind down peacefully.

On rainy afternoons, the Swiss Museum of Transport, the Nature Museum or the Aeschbach Chocolatier in Root offer activities for the whole family. And if you still have energy in the evening, you will find restaurants, cafes and culture in the old town of Lucerne.

In the low season, the minimum stay is only 2 nights, but for a workation we recommend at least a week so you can settle into a proper rhythm. The apartment is fully equipped, with kitchen, washer-dryer and everything you need for a longer stay. Pets are welcome, final cleaning and garage are included in the price.
